Job Description
General Summary:
This role reports to the Head of Business Process or their designee and is based in Banbury, UK. The role supports the delivery and contribution of departmental and organisational objectives. Responsible for supporting day‑to‑day operations within their area of responsibility, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service, compliance, and performance. Adherence to organisational policies and procedures, effective communication with line management, and a commitment to continuous improvement and inclusive ways of working is essential.

The fixed‑term nature of the position reflects a temporary increase in workload within the Engineering function during a critical phase of the Formula 1 car build programme. Additional resource is required to support lifing activities and ensure continuity throughout the upcoming car build period. The role is therefore being offered on an 8‑month fixed‑term basis.

Workload is expected to peak during this time, with increased demand for component life tracking, data management, and engineering support. This role is necessary to maintain adequate resource levels and mitigate any risk to delivery during this business‑critical phase. It is anticipated that, following completion of the car build programme and transition into the race season, workload levels will return to normal and the requirement for this additional resource will cease.

Role Principles:

  • Act with integrity, always upholding the highest professional and ethical standards.

  • Work with the Factory and Trackside teams to ensure that the transacted level of serialized parts data held within the Lifing system are aligned to those being built on the car.

  • Work with the BoM Controller and Digital Build Engineer to ensure the car assembly structure is reflected in the Lifing system and structured in the most efficient way to enable rapid change.

  • React to parts getting close to service and life limits and work with PMO and Procurement to ensure associated re‑order requirements are being actioned.

  • Ensure that part mileage tracking information is being captured at tests and races and measure/address any non‑conformances in doing this.

  • Use the information in the Tooling BoM (Factory and Trackside) to monitor and track tool usage and react to tools getting close to life limits and ensure associated re‑order requirements are being actioned.

  • Support the Manufacturing DMU review providing relevant lifing and service information to allow for upstream design decisions to be influenced.

  • Preparation of event based UIIL submission and updating as required through the event to capture newly received parts.

  • Ensure physical part marking alignment to the lifing structure.
