Job Description
CAD Process and Development Senior Engineer
Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team is on an ambitious journey to compete at the very front of the grid. Central to this ambition is the efficiency, consistency, and capability of our design and digital engineering workflows.

We are seeking an experienced CAD Process and Development Senior Engineer to drive continuous improvement across our Design and CAE environments. This role sits at the heart of our engineering organisation, shaping how our designers work, how tools are deployed, and how digital processes support performance delivery. You will play a key role in defining and executing our CAD strategy, working closely with Design, PLM, and Engineering Process leadership to ensure our systems enable speed, accuracy, and innovation in a highly regulated F1 environment.

This is a rare opportunity to shape how an F1 team designs, develops, and delivers performance. If you are passionate about digital engineering excellence and want to make a tangible impact at the highest level of motorsport, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across design and CAE workflows, improving efficiency, standardisation, and productivity.
Assist in managing client-side CAD activities, including configuration, customisation, implementation, and advanced user support.
Act as a subject matter expert for CAD tools (notably CATIA), identifying and deploying new capabilities that enhance design performance.
Collaborate closely with the PLM team to prioritise CAD development activities aligned to engineering and performance objectives.
Work with Design groups to maintain, update, and govern regulatory CAD assemblies in line with FIA requirements.
Build strong relationships with Design engineers to identify workflow bottlenecks, gather feedback, and deliver effective solutions.
Support user acceptance testing and rollout of CAD and digital engineering upgrades, ensuring system robustness and usability.
Contribute to multi-disciplinary working groups focused on improving design systems, methodologies, and end-to-end processes.
Benchmark, assess, and implement new tools, automation, and digital engineering solutions to support scalability and innovation.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive Engineering, or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent experience in high-level motorsport.
Extensive experience in race car design environments with deep expertise in CAD tools. Previous experience of UDF and Power Copy creation using EKL within CATIA software would be advantageous.
Proven track record of leading CAD process, tool development, or digital engineering programmes within Formula One or elite motorsport.
Strong understanding of FIA technical regulations and the impact of regulatory compliance on design workflows.
Highly self-motivated with the ability to influence, engage, and support others in a demanding, high-performance environment.
Calm, confident decision-maker with the ability to deliver results under pressure and to aggressive timescales.
Results-oriented, analytical, and comfortable driving change across complex engineering organisations.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across Design, PLM, and Engineering leadership.
Clear commitment to Health & Safety and willingness to travel within the UK and internationally when required.
