Purpose of the Role:聽

As a professional driver, with a category C+E vocational licence, you will fulfil delivery and collection requirements throughout the United Kingdom and Mainland Europe in HGV / LCV vehicles, fully supporting the logistical needs of McLaren Racing.聽

Role Dimensions:聽

You will collaborate closely with the Transport Team(s) to ensure delivery and collection requirements are completed on time and in full across the United Kingdom and Mainland Europe. The position will involve unsociable hours and substantial weekend work including Event attendance and overseas travel.聽

Principal Accountabilities:聽

HGV / LCV driving (including left hand drive vehicles in the UK)聽

Complete vehicle checks prior to use, notify any defects to Fleet Co-ordinators by completing the company defect reporting system.聽

Comply with all statutory requirements related to the Road Traffic Act, Driver's hours regulations & Working Time Directive, vehicle weight limits and speed limits in line with the O License legalisation.聽

Guarantee that all documentation is completed accurately and in line with corporate procedures and company policy.聽聽

Attend specific work instructions, trainings and staff meetings as required.聽

Maintain consistent quality standards in vehicle condition and cleanliness.聽

Collaborating with the Transport management team who co-ordinate the Van and Truck board electronic planner聽

Ensuring Company credit card is reconciled monthly online.聽

Job requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:聽聽聽

European HGV (Class 1)/ LCV experience聽聽

Knowledge of motorsport race trailers and curtain sider operations聽

Ability to work to extremely tight and demanding deadlines with conflicting priorities.聽

Comprehensive understanding of the Driver Hours and Tachograph rules and regulations.聽

Experience of ATA Carnet, customs formalities, and cross border functions.聽

Load security and appreciation.聽
