General Summary:
This role reports to the Lead Data Analyst or their designee and is based in Banbury, UK. The role supports the delivery and contribution of departmental and organisational objectives. Responsible for supporting day‑to‑day operations within their area of responsibility, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service, compliance, and performance. Adherence to organisational policies and procedures, effective communication with line management, and a commitment to continuous improvement and inclusive ways of working is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Role‑Specific Responsibilities

  • Maintain, support, and iterate on existing Power BI reports, Power Apps, and Power Automate flows to ensure continued reliability and performance.

  • Respond to and resolve internal reporting tickets, troubleshooting issues with existing solutions and delivering fixes within agreed timescales.

  • Assist in the development of end-to-end operational reporting to support car build efficiency, providing clear and actionable data to the trackside and factory teams.

  • Write, query, and maintain SQL‑based data sources, supporting accurate and timely data pipelines that feed into reporting solutions.

  • Support the Lead Data Analyst in scoping and delivering reporting improvements across facilities, contributing to a scalable and efficient data infrastructure.

  • Identify opportunities to improve existing reports and processes.

  • Carry out day‑to‑day tasks efficiently and within agreed timescales.

  • Ensure work meets expected service, quality, and compliance standards.

Person Specification:
Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent in relevant field such as STEM, analytics or another quantitative discipline.

  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar role or motorsport environment (preferably Formula 1).

  • Demonstrable experience working with Microsoft Power BI, including report building, DAX, data modelling and Power query.

  • Hands‑on experience with Power Automate and Power Apps.

  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating relational databases.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and tickets simultaneously in a fast‑paced operational environment.

  • Good communication skills, with the ability to translate data findings into clear, accessible outputs for non‑technical stakeholders.

Equipment and Applications:

  • Microsoft Power BI — Primary tool for building, maintaining, and enhancing operational reports and dashboards.

  • Microsoft Power Automate — Used to build and maintain automated workflows supporting data processes and operational reporting.

  • Microsoft Power Apps — For maintaining and developing low‑code applications that support operational workflows.

  • SQL Server / SSMS — For querying, managing, and supporting the relational data sources underpinning reporting solutions.

  • Microsoft SharePoint / Dataverse — Supporting data storage and integration within the Power Platform ecosystem.


Physical Demands
Extended Hours & Flexibility:

  • Many roles require working evenings, weekends, and public holidays, particularly during race season or critical development phases.


Travel Requirements:

  • Roles supporting race operations, logistics, or communications may involve frequent international travel, including long‑haul flights and time zone shifts.


Physical Activity (Varies by Role):

  • Trackside roles may involve standing for long periods, walking across paddocks, and working in noisy, crowded environments.

  • Factory roles may require manual handling of components, use of machinery, or working in temperature‑controlled areas.

  • Office‑based roles typically involve prolonged computer use and occasional movement between departments.


Sensory Demands:

  • Exposure to high noise levels (e.g., engines, pit lane activity), bright lighting, and fast‑moving environments is common in race support roles.

  • This role is based in a shared workplace environment where exposure to common allergens (including food products, fragrances and cleaning materials) may occur. While we will always consider reasonable adjustments, we are unable to guarantee a completely allergen‑free environment.


Health & Safety Compliance:

  • All roles require adherence to strict safety protocols, especially in technical and trackside environments.

  • Completion of all mandatory compliance training (including health and safety, data protection, and role‑specific regulatory training) is a condition of employment and must be maintained throughout tenure.
